The ministry of Jesus was larger than one man. As emissary on divine mission, He carried the presence and authority of the Almighty. With every step and every word He generated a solid case for the love of God on assignment to deliver men from evil.
An ambassador of unmatched compassion which began to be released at that time, His compassion is present and increasing still, affecting and shaping the worldview of His disciples today, His ministry still larger than one man.
His path was filled with specific incidences of supernatural intervention. A man sick of infirmity for thirty-eight years encountered Him one day at Bethesda, a pool near the Sheep Gate in Jerusalem. Jesus initiated contact with the afflicted man without any apparent effort by the man. In brief conversation with Jesus he only revealed a level of hope that one day His situation would change. It did.
The ambassadorship we carry today is pattered this way. We are sent to extend what Jesus began, including everything from depths of compassion to firestorms against evil. Wisdom guides us. Joy is our strength. Confidence maintains us and our paths, like His, are filled with specific incidences of supernatural intervention.
